In response to my question about equal rights, a female answered and said that she wouldn't want to fight on the front line. Why not? If men can do it, can't women?

Hell yes we can and I guess by your answers so do alot of other women but I don't. I heard something about this several years back and if we had total equal rights we'd be elgible for the draft(if there was one) and fight on the front lines. As it is now, we can enlist in any of the armed forces. I think if a woman enlists and wants to fight on the front lines maybe they should be allowed to. Personally I just don't think so. I think I opened a can of worms here so I'll just slowly back out..........................thanks for listening tho.

Yes women should, but the thing is the reason why they don't is because men get to emotional with women. If a men in the army falls in love with a women and they are fighting next to each other and the women get shot the men will stop and see if she is ok. If it were two best friend (guys) fighting next to each other and one of them is shot down the other one will get mad ans start to shot more, and will not stop until he gets its revenge, but I still think if we want equal rights we should get to fight in the war, but it will suck being drafted,

As far as I am concerned, a woman can do most anything that a man can do. i work a male-dominated job, and have been told many times that I can't or shouldn't do it. If that person doesn't want to fight on the front line that's her decision and hopefully in the future it will still be hers to make.

If they have done the same training and are equally capable why not. Equality all round.
They join up and know the risks involved, including if they get captured.
Rather a woman who knew how to use a gun than a teen without a clue fighting for their country.

Women are more than capable of fighting in wars, and here is why.

They've been doing it for centuries.

In history, there have been women warriors who fought on the front lines and were revered for their battle skills. They led thousands of men into battle and fought alongside them. There were female gladiators who fought on the sands of the Colliseum in Rome, in the arena in Brittania during Roman occupation. Several gravesites have been uncovered that prove this.

So, yes, it is possible for women to fight in battle and do extrordinarily well.

Yes in fact they do.

Women have been since America was founded. some posing as men to fight.

They do it now too. Women are on the front line as we speak. We have equal rights too. If men can do it, women can do it.

I'm not sure if woman can do it. We would like to think that but there's no way I could. I honestly wouldn't want to see women on the front line. Why? Because I don't think it's our place. Woman are generally more emotional than men. It's in our physics. We have more estrogen. I think it would be really hard.

women can do anything they want so yes I do think they should have the choice to fight on the front line in saying that however I would not want to fight fullstop........ I hate fighting, killing etc and putting me on the front line would damage me more than I am today.......

they defiantly can, i think that they proved that they could to the same jobs as men in WW1 when they took over the mens jobs in factories when they were out fighting, this later led to more women rights (ability to vote/work) i personally believe that if women prove themselves in the training for the army/Marines/navy, they should defiantly be able to defend there country, because that what everyone is there to do.

Absolutely, if she's qualified. Same as men...I wouldn't want an unqualified man up there either.

Equal rights means equal obligations, folks...not just equal opportunities.
