In hockey, the puck travels very very very fast. For goalies, they have a slight advantage, that being that everything around them is white (boards, ice) and the puck is black and heavy rubber. For the other players, shooting percentage is very very low. On average, a player scores on only about 10% of their shots. Despite this, it is said that hitting a major league pitch in baseball is the hardest thing to accomplish in sports. The latter is done quite more than scoring a goal in hockey. From experience, which is harder?

hitting a baseball is far harder than scoring. Ichiro Suzuki set a record a few years ago by getting 260+ basehits...........in almost 2700 pitches. Less than 10%

Scoring is made difficult only because there is a goalie, because players are shooting a puck (which they hit 100% of the time) at a target which is more than 50% coverd by a mobile intellectual being who can cover the other 50% rather quickly.

A goalie makes about 25 saves a game and plays roughly 60 games or 1500 saves in a year.

A decent hitter will get one hit a game for roughly a hundred and fifty games.

A top goal scorer may score 50 goals in 80 games.

Scoring based on the numbers is hardest.

definitely scoring a goal. if your in net chances are your gonna save somethin. baseball everyone gets a chance at offense. you can always bunt or get a lucky break with a soft hit. in hockey to score a goal you have to be able to keep up with or beat players usually at least 2: the defender and the goalie. you may never touch the puck in the offensive zone if you or your team blows.

Scoring in hockey because the goalies are so big and good. and in baseball you have a strike zone that gives you an idea where the pitch is going to be.

is harder to be a goalies how do i know? cause i've done all three. I can score a lot easier than i can stop shots. last night me team didnt have a goalie but they had goalie pads so i thought what the heck ill try goalie for a game and we got mercied 11-1 it soo much harder to stop the puck than i thought.

Having done all 3, none of them are easy! Statistically, scoring is the hardest, because you have a small area to hit with a goaltender and up to 5 guys keeping you from finding a hole. Goaltending, you have help and can use your entire body and stick. Baseball, you can bunt for a hit!

Baseball's the easiest, that's why I'm a coach! LOL

I have excellent hand-eye coordination and can run fast so getting a base hit is not that difficult for me. However I can't skate to save my life so scoring and saving in hockey are equally impossible as far as I'm concerned. It depends on the individual.

trying to score in hockey because percentage wise it's easier to make a save( unless you play professional hockey in la or tampa bay) or make a base hit
