Would be very surprised after seeing one of his interviews:

Some of his supportive positions are radical, including the legalization of drugs, the closing of many governmental agencies like Education, Agriculture, Homeland Security, and Energy etc. Also his support of closing most of the U.S. military bases around the world.

If Paul thinks that the staff of these important agencies and military personnel are going to vote for him (and risk losing their jobs) then he's likely wrong. Also, not many law-abiding parents with young children want to see drugs legalized.

Mr. Paul, being the Republican nominee, would be a dream-come-true for the Dems and the GOP's worse nightmare.

Yes, I'd be surprised. Because I'm smart enough to recognize the difference between these online straw polls and actual elections. But I guess a lot of people aren't.

Extremely so; he has a very vocal and energized fringe that backs him but he is only marginally a Republican in his views. A fringe is still a fringe so unless the traditional Republican candidates self implode, it'd take a miracle for him to get even into the double digits of percentage.

No I wouldn't. I just hope he improves his public speaking skills soon.
