White females with black guys?

I am a black male in college. One of my black male friends only seems to date white girls, even though there are plenty of pretty black girls. He is the type of the guy who girls swoon over. I asked him why, and he said because I prefer white girls? wtf prefer white girls? When ever happen to the concept of black racial pride and self love? How can you prefer white women simply over your own women? Self hatred? A straight nose, straight hair, blue eyes and blonde hair doesn't make a girl attractive.

You only think that what Laudya said makes sense because she agrees with your position. What's the point of asking a question if you don't want to hear the answer?

I know White guys who have a strong preference for Asian women, and it has nothing to do with a sense of inferiority. Any White person objecting to this preference would most surely be labeled a racist, and rightly so. Your position is a racist one.

ok what is the problem? im a white girl and i have a black boyfriend. I prefer black guys over white ones. I have blonde hair blue eyes a straight nose and straight hair and my boyfriend likes that. I live in the south so i have to hear stuff from white people all the time and i hate that. Its none of anyone else's concern what other people do. If the guy is happy doin what he is doin then why do you care. You sayin that that is wrong makes it harder for people like me or like him. If you dont like it don't do it, but dont go talkin about the people who do.

I don't think that dating outside your race means that you don't have pride in your own. I am white and am happy being white. Although I don't date exclusive outside my race, I don't choose partners based on color. I like who I like, regardless of race. Perhaps your friend finds the traits he is looking for in a woman in a "white" package. Don't be so quick to judge. Let your friend be happy with the woman who is attractive to him, and you enjoy the company of women who are attractive to you.

I'm neither black or white, but i think that people who REFUSE to date their own race have self esteem issues. Some people say it's just a preference but this goes beyond preference. And our society seems very accepting of it now. We are told that is not OK to date within one's own race.

EDIT: As you can see, people can become very sensitive on this subject. I myself have asked several related questions in the past, and have been called a racist and even that I'm related to Adolf. Nowadays, you are a normal human if you date outside your race, and a racist if you date your own race of women.

Several reasons:

1) He has issues and insecurities with his own racial identity.

and/or

2) Bad experiences in the past with his mother or other black women.

and/or

3) Brainwashed by the white media on what constitutes beauty.

and/or

4) He sees it as prestigious to be with a white girl. In other words, he values white higher than black.

I have those traits. If he likes girls who look like me, it is what it is. Are you attracted to certain types of girl, even in your own race, i.e., thin, voluptuous, tall, petite, etc.? Does that mean you should be criticized for your tastes? Just accept that like you, he is attracted to whom he is attracted to, live and let live, and stop writing it off as a personality flaw.

I dont belive in it personally, I think every one should stick with their own, and be proud of who they are and where they come from.
