I do not really mind at all if I do not get anything for Christmas or for any of my anniversaries. In fact, it is during these times that I go into solitude to experience the spirit that these occasions have. It would be very consoling if I see that these occasions are properly celebrated by everybody - this is enough.
With the simplicity of life that I live, I have enough for my basic needs. Nevertheless, I am preparing for a spiritual activity for a few close relatives who will be coming to visit on the 25th. I shall be cooking vegan food for them and then we shall play some indoor games...

What's that word? despicable, preposterous, desperate (sorry I'm French, just trying to find the right word)...Oh I got it PATHETIC!
I buy everybody a gift and since I know nobody will buy me anything, I have to buy and wrap a gift for me so as not to be the only person in the room with no gift and I always miss the surprise.
Well, I have a nice thing called a credit card, which I can use for anything, all year round...so I get no Christmas gift or birthday gift because I can use that credit card whenever I want for whatever I want.
I long for anything I would open without knowing what it is in advance...anything.

some times I get money for Christmas so I use part of it to buy clothes. So far I bought only a hoodie from Victoria's Secret but after Christmas when the sales really start, I'm going to buy more stuff

Not unless it's something I really need, but I'd do that any time of year. What I really give myself is the feeling I get when I see the grand-children's faces as they open their gifts. I can't wait until they're old enough to share with them the story of the greatest gift ever given (God's Messiah).

If I get any money for Christmas I go out and buy stuff that I didn't get, and wanted but didn't ask for. Usually that stuff are things that I wasn't really sure if I wanted or not, and then I don't feel bad if I buy it myself and don't like it, rather than ask for it and don't like it.

Every year. My husband hates & sucks at shopping. I never know what to buy for him because if he wants something he goes out & buys it for himself, so we just each take $100 (or whatever the budget allows that year) and hit the stores for ourselves. I've loved every present I've got for the last 10 years, lol!

Yes! I try to stay away from shopping malls throughout the year, so when I see stuff I just have to have it.
