I NEVER buy jarred spaghetti sauce. It is soooo easy to make a simple sauce, and you can just keep the ingredients around.
Warm a couple tablespoons of olive oil in a sauce pan. Add garlic (you can buy minced garlic in a jar and keep it in the fridge), basil and oregano. Then add a small can of tomato paste and a can each of diced tomatoes and tomato sauce or puree. Put in a little water so it can cook down a bit. Taste while cooking; if it's a little too bitter, add just a bit of sugar (maybe 1/2 teaspoon). Cook for 20-30 minutes - DONE!

Homemade is the best, but if you must use storebought stuff use Ragu or Prego. AVOID Classico. Classico is watery and bland.

Prego might be classic, but ragu does it best.

I try to avoid Prego, it costs too much and lasts for 18 years.

I hate it! while i became into pregnant, my husband might continually call me "prego" and it made me so mad. He might snort and say it became into basically like the previous spaghetti sauce commercial, "Prego, it rather is in there" and factor to my abdomen.
