Gee, not working during the summer is a great reason to become a teacher. Even better, you could show films all the time and not have to teach at all. Teach kindergarten.

It all depends on YOU. You must find an age-group that you are most comfortable in and you should definitely become an intern/student teacher, etc. Teachers do have a tough job and a lot of the time do not get paid what they deserve. Grading papers is not fun, etc. However, it can certainly be a rewarding job in terms of being able to see a child grow throughout the year, seeing the looks of a child's face after they finally understand a certain material, etc. It all depends on you.

you make it up with long hours and lots of grading during the year. plus it doesn't pay that great so you often need a summer job. i still think you should be a teacher. see which age you enjoy the most before you decide what age. because that will depend on you.

If you are wanting to teach just to have a long vacation, you shouldn't be teaching. I would suggest none since I don't want someone lazy teaching anybody.

If you are honestly interested in teaching, you should pick the age group you are most willing to put up with.
