Since Jehovah's Witnesses don't celebrate Christmas because its pagan origins, they don't receive gifts or drink on/for this occasion.

Drinking alcohol is not condemned by God, but drunkenness.

"What! Do you not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators ... nor DRUNKARDS... will inherit God’s kingdom." -- 1 Corinthians 6:9,10

I am a Christian, one of Jehovah's Witnesses. As such I wouldn't accept/want Christmas or Birthday presents on anyday.

I have at times gotten gifts on my birthday, but that was simply the day I was sent to pick up the gift. I have no problem giving or receiving gifts, in general, I just prefer to not celebrate things I feel are wrong.

As for drinking alcohol, the same applies, though I personally don't drink.

The Alchohol is ok. However a Jehovahs Witness would Politely refuse the Gift.

One of my friends gives her Jehovah's Witness friends gifts but never around Christmas time. I do not practice this religion so I do not understand the reason, but it's their belief.

a strong Witness will politely decline the offer of a gift. Please do not press it.

Wait 2 weeks, Wrap it in brown paper,, and give it to them and say "I was just thinking of you when I saw this"

and alcohol is not forbidden
