I'm 16, so I can't get a debit card through a bank because i'm not old enough to have an account.

I just got a job, and when I get paid I don't want to be carrying around all the money and have it get stolen. It has before.

I'm looking for a card that doesn't have percentage fees or annual/monthly fees or anything like that.
Also, I don't wanna have to pay five bucks to add money to the card either.

Anyone know of a good card that meets at least most of my needs?

Most banks have a student plan that waive your monthly fees. There might be something like a maximum of 15 transactions a month or something but I have been getting free banking for over 3 years like that.

If you don't get the card though a bank, it is NOT a debit card. You CAN'T get a prepaid card without fees (how do you thing the card company makes money). The card is as easy to steal as cash anyway (maybe easier). Has it ever occurred to you to you to leave some of your money at home? By the way, you CAN open a checking account with a debit card at age 16. If your bank said you can't, find a different bank.

you can check into a credit union in your area. they generally have good terms for debit cards. Or wellsfargo they are pretty good. they only charge one dollar a month to use the debit card.
