1. (4a)^2 = (4^2)*(a^2) = 16a^2
2. -5y^0 = -5*1 = -5 (N.B. anything to the power zero is 1)
3. (-6z^2)*(2z^3) = (-6*2)*(z^2*z^3) = (-12)*(z^5) = -12z^5
