I live in Splendora,Texas this place is country and at one time the folks here used to not lock there doors, now in this age you have to, even if its country.Finding an unlocked house is a good find to a thief or rapist, murderer, please consider locking your windows and doors!!!

I live out in the country too but remember "in Cold Blood" and Badlands and Kalifornia.
A Lot of bad stuff happens in the wilds. Lock your doors and windows.

That's so odd! I couldn't imagine not closing the door at night, though it sounds wonderful!! I could sleep if I left the door unlocked.
I live in West London, which is a kinda poor area lol, no way on EARTH is the door remaining unlocked. I think that even if I moved to where you live, I couldn't sleep knowing the door is unlocked!

absolutely, and we make sure we did and the chain...we don't live in a bad neighbourhood but I just have to. I also check that I turned off the oven...and you should lock yours to you never know. Country doesn't guarantee that nothing could happen!

The only time my door's not locked is when I'm in the process of opening or closing it.
