I have just installed the first disc of Guild Wars (the original version which comes with 2 CDs) and although I have installed the game and it came up with the message "Please insert Disc 2" I escaped this and ran the game and it began to download. Do I really need to use Disc 2? I've had the game a long time and can't find the 2nd Disc, and I'm not sure what this disc actually does.

No, you don't need the discs at all. Once you use the first one to create an account, you don't need any discs. Even when you buy other campaigns like Factions and Nightfall the discs are just there for convenience. You'll automatically download all the game content you need when you need it. For example, when you reach an area or town that you've never been to, you'll wait and download that town.

Well how are you playing i without the second disc? The second disc has teh rest of the game information on it. Yes you do need it LOL. I mean i installed both discs and havent had a problem. Hmm......maybe the second disc is information with patches and such and that is why it's downloading. More power to ya if it works without disc 2.
