of the two, i would definitely go with the lotus elise, not only because of the fact that the countach was discontinued in 1990, but because the elise is still being produced and there is alot of things you can do to it (after market parts and such) and it is also a great car to race. If you choose the Countach, it is still a great car and a collectible for sure, but it may cause problems in the long run, which will really cost alot of $$$.

These two are each in their own league dont you think? I used to work for Lambo, Lotus, Alfa dealer in oakville Ont. and let me tell you, The Countach is Not at all like the civilized ones made today. The Lambo is a brute, with a gorilla clutch action, noisy, hot, and I love it. A V12 right behind your head. But try to drive it around town and I guaranty that gracefull is non-existant in city traffic. (I hope you get it cheap) The Lotus on the other hand, is nimble, quick, fun, and even holds a couple of overnight bags.

The lotus is extremly small on the inside. If your a bigger guy i would go with the countach. The countach is faster the the lotus and if you decide to go with the lotus keep in mind those cars ar turbocharged and have a tendency to have problems with them.
