Let's start at the each kitten level. Each cat has 6 kittens.
Then the bag level. Each bag has 6 cats.
Then the man level. Each man has six bags.
Each bag had 6 cats +36 kittens for 42 felines per bag.
6*6 bags = 36 Bags so the feline total is
36*42 = 1512 felines total with four legs each so the feline legs, total, is 1512*4 which is 6048. Add 12 for the men and come up with 6060. That's right, isn't it?

Well, 6 cats in each bag plus six kittens in each bag, so 42 four legged critters in each bag x 6 bags per man which gives you 252 total cats per man holding a bag x 4 legs per cat = 1008 little kitty legs per man x 6 men = 6048 plus 12 human legs = 6060 legs in all. The real question is why did the men put cats and kittens in bags, that just seems cruel!

6 adult adult males each having 2 legs = 12 6 baggage each having 6 cats with 4 legs each = 6 x 6 = 36 x 4 = one hundred forty four 36 cat each have 6 kittens with 4 legs = 24 greater legs. 12 + one hundred forty four + 24 + one hundred eighty legs for all adult adult males and cats.

6 men have 6*2=12 legs(v multiply by 2 bcos each man has 2 legs)
each man has 6 bags. so 6 men have 6*6=36 bags.
each bag has 6 cats. so 36 bags have 36*6=216 cats.
now 216 cats have 216*4=864 legs(we multiply by 4 bcos each cat has 4 legs)
each cat has 6 kittens. so there are 216*6=1296 kittens. each kitten has 4 legs. so 1296 kittens have 1296*4=5184 legs
now total no. of legs=legs of men +legs of cats+legs of kittens
=12+864+5184
=6060

There are 6 men, that is 6x2 legs.
There are 6x6x6 cats, that is 6x6x6x4 legs.
There are 6x6x6x6 kittens, that is 6x6x6x6x4 legs.
That makes 12 human legs plus 864 kitten legs
plus 5184 kitten legs. It totals 6060 legs.

assuming it's not a trick question, 6060, as follows:
6 men have 12 legs
36 bags 0
216 cats 864
1296 kits 5184
total 6060 legs
But it probably is a trick question.
