Rotisserie is a seasonal game, for those who prefer long-term strategies and maybe don't have time to check their teams every day.
The good sides are:
- Once you pick a team, you don't have too much work to do, logging in once or twice per week is usually enough;
- If you have a good team, you practically set for playoffs from the start (if there is a playoff, depends on the league settings);
- You rely on those players you really believe in.
The bad sides are:
- It may get boring after a while, cause once the approximate value of a team is set, the changes and fluctuations tend to be rather small;
- Some managers (usually rookies) don't know there's a 82-game limit (or whatever the commish sets) for each position, so they keep playing everyone all the time, which makes the standings unreal until the last two months when those managers are out of games and the standings start to balance out;
- You suffer a lot if one of your best players gets seriously injured and has to miss a lot of games;
- There's usually less trading and less Forum talk.
H-2-H is a weekly game with a playoff. There's a lot of tinkering with the team, you need to log in every day if you want to win it, cause every game counts and every game a players sits out on the bench loses you valuable points. So, consistency and daily play are important here. If you go somewhere for a vacation and have no internet, you will definitely lose the game that week.
The good sides are:
- It's very dynamic, changes are seen every single day;
- Each weekly H-2-H match is not really over until the last day, so there's always a chance to turn the score around if you're losing that week;
- There's usually lots of trading among managers, as well as dropping and picking up available players, just to get the maximum number of games played (of course, you never drop the top 4-5 players, cause someone else will pick them up through the waiver system and you'll never get them back).
The bad sides are:
- There could be too much trading and dropping for some (but that depends on what you like);
- If you don't have internet accessible every single day (or don't have the time) you're basically out of the game;
Of course, there's another question of live draft or automatic draft according to pre-set rankings, but that's a different issue. I prefer live, cause with automatic you may be extremely skilled at positioning the players you want in the pre-set rankings, but at the end you may still get stuck with 2-6 players that you would never have taken in a live draft.
There's more to all this, quite a few details to pay attention to. If you still want to know more, ask what that 'more' is and we'll try to give you a reply. :)
Enjoy the game!

You can check details at Yahoo Fantasy website.
In a simple way:
In Head to Head, you will compete on weekly basis againts other team to win more stats. Then near the end of the season, there will be playoffs to finally get the ultimate winner.
While in Rotesserie, you basically compete in a league where you have to consistently collect higher stats in each category (or lower for negative stats such as TO) to rank as high as possible in each category. The total rankings that you collected at the end of the season decide the winner.
