I thought to myself, a good incentive for me is to sell my autograph on ebay as a before I get famous or infamous momento, you see I am writing this novel that even my fiancee doesn't know what it is about, You think my autograph will really sell? I have seen weirder things on ebay I tell you what!

I think you should wait until you get famous. Writing a novel doesn't mean you'll get it published (or even finish it) and it doesn't mean it will become a bestseller. Or, at least, sell enough copies to make you famous enough for people to want your autograph.

Better to wait and see than sell. Not to mention, anyone can buy it and use for nefarious purposes (example: forge it on checks, etc.). You don't want to risk any form of identity theft. There are people these days who won't even sign the back of their credit cards because of this. They simply write ASK FOR ID where their signature should be.

I also suggest saving your edited manuscript (once it's sold and you go through rewrites with your editor) and selling that on eBay eventually to fans. Remember you need to have a fan base first. People need to know who you are. Otherwise you may only end up selling an autograph for $.50 now.

The weirdest item (besides that girls' virginity) I've seen on eBay was paperclip dolls made out of one paperclip and felt. They were selling for $5-10 a piece!!

people will buy anything. I swear to you one time, I was just searching odd words on ebay--my life is real exciting--and I found a douche. It had a picture of a chicken on it and it was called C0ck-A-Doodle Douche. I was stunned. I laughed so hard I almost threw up.

Someone might buy it, who knows.

A few years ago, someone sold their virginity on eBay. They got about $10,000 for it.
