The ECM is in the process of reprogaming its self.
You will notice the same symptoms when you switch back.

Premium gas has an additive which keeps the gas from burning as easily as the 87 octane. This is to stop pre-ignition or pinging in a high performance motor. Your motor needs the 87 not the 93 octane as per the owners manual. Quit wasting the extra money! Run the NGK spark plugs that are recommended too. The expensive Bosch platinums will crack and take out a coil pack.

Your car don't need premium gasoline. You're just throwing money down the drain. A 4 cylinder 1.6 liter engine is a "cheap" engine, and in most cases never requires premium. Good luck.

Check your owner manual it should say what it's suppose to get. Your probably just wasting money as your car wil probably run fine on 87 octane. You might want to run 89 octane if your required by your owners manual to run premium. Middle grade is just a mixture of 93 and 87

This is not normal. Sounds like the cause of the rps are due to a different reason such as the car computer getting reset by a dead or disconnected battery. Your car is probably just fine.

this is normal. you just got used to hearing the engine noise with a higher gas octane. with a lower octane, you feel like the car has less power and slow. Stick to the owner's manual recommendation.
