When are we supposed to get our W2 Forms back from our employee's??
Is it by the end of January?
And if done online it only takes about 7-10 days to get back to you?Correct?
I know I am in the wrong area..But I asked in the right place and no-one replied..

By law, W2s must be sent out by Jan. 31.
As for refunds, they very likely will be delayed in 2008. Because Congress waited until late December to pass legislation on AMT, the IRS is having delays in re-programming their computers. That may delay refunds
by 2-3 weeks from normal.
Can't be sure about online returns, but likely to have some effect. I would not expect 7-10 days.

Most employers wait until the deadline of Jan 31st to send out the W-2s. And yes, if you do it online you get it back sooner than you would via the mail. However, you will have to put your bank info online to get it back within a week or two. So if you aren't comfortable doing that, then wait for the paper check.

All of them are "supposed" to be postmarked no later than January 31st however, there is absolutely nothing you can do if they are not. My 1099 from the employment office wasn't, and I called the IRS about what to do and they said if they were not recieved by March 1st to call them back. I recieved them on Feb. 12th, postmarked the 10th.

Not sure what you're asking. If you're asking when you should be getting your W2 from your employer, that's by January 31st.
But I'm not sure what you're asking about doing it online. You mean your taxes?
