Ignore the CD.
Its just another marketing feature, the company trying to get you see more ads about the company.
All you need for a video card to work perfectly is the card and the right driver.

ignore the vista auto-detect feature. Before vista actually installs any drivers or makes any hardware-specific configuration, it will ask you if want to continue. Thats not to say that it won't detect when something has been detected.

Just click off the window using the X if a hardware detect window pops up. If it pops up in the lower right hand area of your desktop, on the taskbar, just ignore it. Install the graphics card driver/utility from the CD and then you'll be fine. Its no big deal, microsoft just like to be a bit too helpful.
