I have ocd and it causes me to obsessively think horrible thoughts. Like for example, my brain will say: i wish my mum would die. When in reality this is the most tragic horrible scenario i can think of, and it's really frustrating. I wish my brain would just shut up, it thinks too much and it's so annoying! How can i stop this. Does anyone else have this problem? Serious answers only please?

(May you walk on the right path)

Try to do things. Don't just be idle. Keep doing something. If you do not have any other thing to do, come here to answer some questions. Also, you could instead television showing informative programs. Just do not let your brain stay idle to make you think that way. You can even talk to your friends or be imaginative and do something of your own. If you are obsessed with all this, then try to go on Yahoo! chat and make some friends or discuss anything that you want to.

Thank you.

When you get those thoughts - just remember this: Our brain is evolved. So evolved, in fact, that sometimes it likes messing with us, scaring us. For instance, your mom dying is the WORST thing that can happen, right? So, your brain is just messing with you, making you think this just to play around (not playin around as in "haha" just messing with you). You have to laugh at it. Take it as a joke and say, this is just an intrusive thought and it doesnt mean ANYTHING!
It's just an intrusive thought- remember that.
You have to laugh at it at first - then ignore it -in order for it not to effect your daily life.
FYI- read books on OCD (Which is really just terrible, terrible anxiety) Trust me, I know - the more you know about it - the more you can deal. Go to the library at school or a bookstore educate yourself. Don't worry, once you figure it out, the thoughts will slow down at first, then go away. It may come back again, but at least you'll be more prepared to laugh it off and just ignore it.

Hope this helped a lil

:o)
Take care

You really should go see a counselor on this, and I'm being serious, this can be a lead way for a mental sickness, it can be possible that you have a mild mental illness, its best that you get it checked out and diagnosed while its still early, if its not a mental illness or disorder, it could just simply be built up anger, in that case, anger management sessions would be appropriate.
