Follow up: Wow - I almost guessed it by accident - I thought it was an angry cat but it's an angry human!

Could be the way we bring our eyebrows together when we are angry or puzzled or worried - depends on the context.
Maybe soon you could come across <.> to express another feeling, very soon!

It means they are frustrated.
EDIT// IT doesn't necessarily mean that they are frustrated at you, but it could mean "too bad" or they are empathizing.
