MONEY,MONEY GREED,GREED. Simple the NFL wants to rake in as much as possible and they want to rake it in directly from us the consumers. They have already tried to squeeze every penny from their advertisers, so now we are the targets of their GREED. Take here in the Northeast. The Pats game against the Giants could be the one where they go 16-0, that is if they can beat Miami, Ha ha. Only the Boston market will get the game on a local station, but, It is the NEW ENGLAND PATRIOTS. and there are 6 states who consider them their home team. If they can't get tha local Boston station, they are forced to buy the NFL package through their cable outlets. Most cable outlets around here do not even offer it, so they get screwed

If that's how you feel, quit watching! There is a lot to football that is not on a quarterback's shoulders and it is still fun to watch that. So far, many of the backup quarterbacks have been pretty decent, and are backing up someone who wasn't a superstar in the first place, so there hasn't been too much that changed as far as team strength.

I agree that it is simple greed! and for that reason I think that we should NOT buy the stinking package, then watch how the network tries to backpeddle the business to regain the fans.
I believe that for any team that receives public support such as tax benefits to rebuild a stadium or other such, should NEVER be blocked from the public (free) airwaves.
I like the idea of the NFL having its own network, BUT it should not block other networks.

Baseball does the same thing - Games are only aired in the area that they are played because they have the rights to it.
Even if you get the package - a game will be blocked out if it is available on one of your local channels.

that's like complaining about the gas prices, see where that got us. It's a business that can do pretty much what they want unless you can get masses of people to boycott the NFL and it start to effect their profits. They will either respond by having you killed or changing their practices. Good luck with that.
