im renting a room from some old lady in foster city, california. i moved in on the first of december. we have an agreement. on the agreement it says..i'll pay rent, i'll be there for 6months, and i'll pay for my own internet. i only sleep there 2-3times a week. on the 11th, the 4th night that i slept there, she told me i'm using way too much water and told me not to wash my hair everyday and don't take baths only shower and she'll raise my rent.

last night i talked to her when my mom was there. i told her if shes gonna raise my rent then i'll have to move. then she said...we have water shortage...only shower no bath. so i said, what if i have to take a bath? she said no!

since she's not letting me do this and do that...so do i have the right to move out? since on the agreement it says...pay rent..i'll stay there for 6months...i'll pay for my internet..

it's not ur fault if she didnt inform you of this before so you can use as much as you want.. and if its not on the paper of what she's telling you.. it's her problem. go to court if it gets worse.

If the amount of your rent isn't in your lease agreement, you might be in trouble. She can raise it otherwise.

Unless it says in your lease that you can't take baths, you can take baths.
