I have failed pre-calculus this semester! I have a 53 for this quarter and a 53 for this semester. But all the rest of my classes are A's except for AP English which I have an 87. The last time I knew my GPA was 3.765. I'm very active in 5 or more clubs, my church and I think I'm a good person. Should I be panicking because I failed?? Are people going to think less of me? I want to be successful. Sorry I'm ranting now. What should I do?

I don't plan on majoring in a field involving math. I will probably major in liberal arts, communications or law

Don't stress on it so much. No this will not tank your chances at college, though it will drop your gpa a little. You will have to work very hard next semester to recover. Most colleges only require 3 or 4 maths anyway, so as long as you have taken Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, and or Algebra 3/Trig. you should be ok. And if you think the grade is just going to haunt the hell out of you until it is changed then retake the class in summer school, or if your school offers online or virtual classes, then take it online next semester.

No! You'll get into a great community college. But why didn't you stop math at Algebra 2 if you were not good in math. You shouldn't panick. you will be able to take pre-calculus again when you go to college. And it will be easier for you because you were exposed to the material before.

A lot depends on your intended major. If you want to be an engineer, this will not look good. If you want to major in English, it shouldn't matter. Work very hard for the rest of the year so they see improvement and you should be fine. IF you don't improve your grade, that might not look so great.
There is a college out there for everyone -- you might not get your first choice, but education is what you make of it.
