I already took 4 pregnancy tests on different days, and they all came out negative... And one of them was the first morning urine. I am on my 2nd missed period already. I don't think i am stressed out enough for it to be from stress, but i can't find any other possiblities.

If you think you may be pregnant get a blood test to know for sure. Even the best at home pregnancy test sometimes can not pick up the HCG hormone if it isn't concentrated enough.

Stress, diet, exercise, medications, changes in hormone levels, weight changes can all affect your period. Most doctors don't worry till it has been 6 months to a year.

If you still feel unsure go see your doctor.

Some possibilities in your situation:

1. Pregnancy. Some women do not produce enough HCG in their urine for it to be detected; their pregnancy is confirmed via a serum (blood) HCG test.
2. Loss or gain of 10+ pounds. Affects hormones.
3. Exercise program recently begun. Affects hormones.
4. Age. You don't mention your age, but some girls take up to 3 years after menarche (first period) to become regular.
5. STDs can affect menstrual cycles.
6. Illness. From the common cold to polycystic ovarian disease to hyperthyroidism, many illnesses can affect hormones.
7. Stress. Even minor stresses can affect those adrenal glands, which control your hormones.
8. Recent miscarriage or abortion. Not an issue here.

You are experiencing secondary amenorrhea (lack of menstrual periods). Some articles you may find helpful:

I once went a year without menstruating, but I was working 2 jobs and running cross-country and had become too thin.

After reading the above articles, you may want to see a physician if you feel another condition (such as hyperthyroidism or an adrenal disorder or ovarian cysts) may be responsible for your amenorrhea.

Weight loss, stress, severe excercising, medication you may be on, could be any of a number of reasons.

The over the counter tests are the same as they use at the doctor's office, so if you've had 4 of them taken already and they're all negative, you're not pregnant. They don't give false information on those.

You should see a GYN Dr. , Stress is one reason, but menstruation is all about hormones, so these could be at insufficient levels. Also, if you have been on birth control pills, they can cause missed periods becausae you are not building up a uterine lining to shed. - An OB RN
