same features, just the brand. I'm not really sure which one is better (whatever that means), can someone help me out

i would get the most features for the money .. i think both are ok ... i had a toshiba and theyre alright ..

Sony.. I bought a $1200 toshiba and it broke within 4 days but my sony I bought 10 years ago still works fine..
If I were you, I'd get a macbook like me!

Just go for Sony, I had Toshiba but it was not working great.

neither... I haven't had good results with Sony laptops. They're too heavy and too loud. For the money you pay, you're better off getting a Dell. If you're going just with feature difference, do a feature comparison and decide which features you'll use most and see which system has the most.

Toshiba sucks, I know. I have one and I regret it. Get a Sony- You'll probably have better luck with it.

every Toshiba i have owned have all been hard to get along with.
sometimes it will say that RAM is not detecting or hard disk error.
Just trust me, go with the Sony, you would be much happyer

The more you pay for SONY is just for the brand name, doesn't have anything more.
Most of inner devices are the same in many brands.

toshiba, sony has anti pirate rootkits. it's funny how people will choose sony, not knowing that they are the biggest company installing ati pirate software on ur computer. causes burner software to malfunction and more.

sony laptops are a much better buy they have better software and are more reliable, also if anything goes wrong they will repair it better or give you a new one, unlike toshiba
