You shouldn't because, if you were a good person, or at least a normal person, you would know that doing that puts other people (the stars of the dvd, the makers of the games, the music artist), in a lot of stress, because their job is to do things so that they get money and can live. But if people just take things for free, what will happen after the producer runs out of money? It just isn't right. You have to put yourself in their shoes.

Why should people punch babies? That's pretty easy too. Anyway, this is my philosophy on media piracy. If what I'm stealing is any good I will go out and buy it for the album art and fancy packaging, otherwise I would not have purchased even without the resource of p2p services so no harm is done by me.

Why shouldn't someone steal from you? The ease or difficulty of stealing is not the point. When you steal from any business, you are stealing from ME, pal. I pay, in the form of higher prices, for theft by idiots like you who say 'don't tell me because it's illegal'. If you were my son and I ever caught you stealing anything, you'd better hope the cops caught you FIRST.

Certain percentages of the sales go to the people who worked very hard to create and/or distirbute the products. It's not like you're just stealing from rich people; you are also stealing from people who have loans to repay, rent or mortgages, and food/medical expenses for themselves and their famiies.
Surely you wouldn't want to tell a sick little girl she can't go to the hospital because you and other people are stealing money from her Mommy and/or Daddy...?
Charities are too underfunded to be able to help enough families in situations like that.

Well I do that because my parents are taxed to death that we have no money to pay for stuff like that. Music is way too expensive along with a lot of other stuff but I agree with you.

Because it's illegal.
If you left your front door open, would it be ok for somebody to walk in and take your belongings? If not, why not? After all, it's so easy to do......and according to you that makes it ok.
