Most of us realise that anyone not afraid of hard work has a chance to do well. This is especially true in America, where the only limits are one's own ambition and ability. Liberals love the progressive tax system, which takes a greater percentage of your money as you earn more. It's not fair that you should have more money than others, so your money should be forcibly redistributed to those who make less, in terms of government-run programs and services. With all the loopholes in our Byzantine tax code, however, the truly rich hardly pay at all. Theresa Heinz-Kerry, wife of the Democratic candidate for President in 2004, paid an effective tax rate of only 12.4% in 2003. Her reported income for that year was over five million dollars -- and that's just what her highly-paid accountants couldn't hide in tax shelters most Americans could never afford. That's a far lower rate than the average American pays... and the average American is worth quite a bit less than a million dollars.

I don't know that liberals do hate the middle class. What other evidence do you have?

You didn't like my little poem, so you reported me. You claim your man supports the Constitution, but you certainly don't want me to have my First Amendment rights, do you?

Why do the NeoCon politicos hate the Middle Class? It's the for the same reason - the politicians usually serve the Upper-upper and upper class dynasties that have little or no income from work, and make their living from clipping bond coupons, capital asset ownership, and other investments - they're the "Ownership Society" that Dubya was really referring to - those who get most of the "social services" the government offers. Most of both Bushite "tax cuts" went mostly to them.

Believe it or not, the Middle Class uses the legal system and government services more that the poor, but like the poor the middle class has no paid lobby to sit in politicos offices to offer them incentives to vote for what the special interests that pay them want. The simple fact is the rich have armies of accountants and lawyers to protect their interests, the Middle class has money but less protection. so they get taxed more than the poor who don't have either protection or money. You get the justice you can afford - if you can't afford it, then you don't get any!

Helping the poor is NOT the primary reason for government welfare programs - it's to pass money through them to help other, more important people; those people who recieve their money FROM the poor!

The Food Stamp program aids farmers and supermarkets far more than it helps the poor. Medicare and Medicaid help the Medical profession and Big Pharma stablize their income. Welfare helps landlords retain tenants. There's often a hue and cry about welfare cheating, but who has the most incentive and ability to cheat and get away with it - the poor, or those that sell them services? Grok?

BTW, Did you know that Queen Elizabeth II is on American Welfare? Oh, not your ordinary underclass serf welfare, but corporate special interest and rich people's welfare - she gets tax credits for not farming land she owns, but probobaly has never seen....

What financial stratum do you think of Artists, reporters, scientists, instructors/ professors, small business employer vendors, Civil servants, and others statistically probably to be liberals come from? the middle type. Federal financial help is presented to center-type pupils like myself who might in any different case locate it almost impossible to pay for. My mom runs 2 small companies, making sufficient funds to help a relatives, yet no longer sufficient to hire extra beneficial than 4 workers. And who's it who helps bringing IT and production jobs (exceptionally plenty decrease center type) jobs back to united states of america of america? while you're a prosperous consumerist, it fairly is on your ultimate pastimes to vote Republican. while you're a undesirable hillbilly, you vote that way considering the fact which you do no longer comprehend any further effectual.

I hate to break this to you, but the conservatives are the authors of most of the tax breaks for the rich and large corporations. Heinz-Kerry did not write the tax law, only took advantage of those loopholes which shouldn't have been there in the first place. Republicans are more the friends of the ultra wealthy and lobbying corporations than the Democrats.

Well, I wouldn't say we hate the middle class totally. We mostly hate drug-addict hypocrite Rush Limbaugh and A$$ H*le George Bush who wants to push the country into bankruptcy fighting a no-win war while ruining our relationship with the middle east so he can sell his domestic oil here at inflated prices. But you're right, hard work, cheating and lying and a daddy sitting on the board of a prominent college can get even a total moron anything he wants--even the presidency!

Your question (which isn't a question) doesn't make sense.

The example of a rich person paying a lower tax rate than a middle class person is hardly something a liberal would endorse.

Liberals do not hate the middle class!
And no, most people that work hard (the working poor) still can't afford to feed their families and pay their bills but "make too much" to qualify for any type of assistance. So they quit their jobs have a few more kids and live off welfare because you aren't rewarded for working!
We have a diminishing middle class but that has nothing to do with liberals thank you!

Because they think it is our job to give more to the poor and the government. Nevermind the fact that the working middle class, Liberal and Conservative, pay around 90% of the taxes in this country to begin with.

Do you ever think for yourself? Or do you simply plagiarize material, copying and pasting the thoughts of others and presenting them as your own? If you have an argument to make against liberals then don't take the lazy way out. Tell us what YOU think, not what someone else thinks.
