hi, I thought it was pregnant a while ago so i put it in a breeding net. the fish is fat thow and it hides behind the plants on the bottom of the tank. Its been 2 months now and theres no babies. bu when the fish goes up to eat she swims fine. and eats normally. I thought she was preg because theres a male and a female platys in the same tank. so whats wrong with her.

the fisrl lot may have not even formed fully thus resulting in an abort/miscarriage,this should have been expelled(but may not have yet)Thus still looking big to you.The females do grow fatter&bigger, naturally than males.Either way she will have been'had'again since then, you'll know by the 'gravid'spot&can even see them in her stretched belly when she is just about to drop(this is when you net her,if you must)&within hours(if you picked it right)she will be popping out fry)Sooner&with more ease if you can give her,her own space(warm, quiet&lots of weed/elodia feeds them as well)
They run on a 28day cycle(like women)keeping that in mind a healthy platy should drop between 20-50youg per month(so you should have a couple of broods by now)since you dont, consider that she may be sterile/infertile(doese happen)
or she may still have some lodged inside her(by what you say,feeding,swimming/i don't think so)but,it's possible.
Consider another girl? The best ratio=2males to 3-5females.(50L tank)
Remember, fertalisation occurs a long time before birth(so she may not have been previously fertalised)BUT birth will occur 30days after fertalisation)To sum up'she has eggs inside(always)they must get fertalised(male could be sterile)if they get fertalised, they WILL hatch inside her 30 days later&she'll expell.
They likeJAVA MOSS(good for fry)
AVOID stress=avoid premature birth/loss of fry
TEMPERATUR=24-27c PH:above 7
MATING:The male has a gonopodium,by which he introduces sperm into female to fertalise the'ova'(eggs)FEMALE has the ability to hold back some eggs in RESERVE&subsequently, produce young even without the presence of a male.(WOW,cool)
HATCHING:an'ovoviviparous'fish."internal hatching"about 30days after(succesful)fertalisation.
They are omnivorous fish, but you could try feeding her a little live blood worms for extra protein(aid egg production/maximum count)+1/4-1/2tspn aquarium/sea salt, helps with protective scale/coating&also'friskys' them up a bit.Water change 15%per week, keep well planted&fish well fed(few small feedings a day)Keep warm(even raise temp by a degree or so)&i promise you will soon have babies(allowing for variables)more than you'll know what to do with!!!!
Don't stress(ya know how some girls can be)ha,ha
GOOD LUCK&MERRY X-MAS
ps:plse keep in mind my thoughts on netting/breeder box,a gravid female(be very gentle with her@this point)

She either aborted the fry because of stress from being in the breeding net or had the fry when she was out of it and they were eaten or sucked up by the filter. It's hard to raise fry in a small tank because the fish have so little room that it's easier for them to hunt the fry. Female platies are very round bodied anyway.

You should never keep your fish in a breeding net that long. Actually, you probably shouldn't use one at all. It only stresses the fish out.

Keep your tank well planted and your fish well fed, and most of your fry should survive.

Sounds like she aported the fry because she was stressed out
the move into the breeding net shouldn't be a common one to use IMO, the fry are much healthier when left in the main tank as well as they grow much faster
just get some breeding grass, and i'm sure you will see some fry soon

Hope that helps
good luck
