Why do liberals hate success?

Liberals are dedicated to the Marxist idea that there's a finite amount of wealth in the world. That's why they insist on punishing "the rich" (which can be defined as "anyone with a job") for having too much money. If you have more money than you need, they feel, you are somehow keeping the excess from someone else who needs it. Liberals like the idea that everyone should end up with the same amount of money after taxes redistribute the wealth from top to bottom. However, there would be no incentive whatsoever to work harder, better or faster than you absolutely need to, or to improve yourself in any way, if you end up with the same result no matter what. That's why China, North Korea and Cuba need men with guns to control their own population, as the USSR once did. But try explaining that to a Liberal.

They don't necessarily hate success. How can anyone support a candidate by claiming he supports the Constitution, yet at the same time, trample on another Yahoo! Answers member's free speech rights, just because you don't like it?

You didn't like my little poem, so you reported me. You claim your man supports the Constitution, but you certainly don't want me to have my First Amendment rights, do you?

In my neck of the woods, the liberals are snooty rich folks who have higher education degrees in things like anthropology but claim to be ranchers and fill out grants for money to not raise crops and other grants to promote their self professed greatness while insisting the working class be punished with high taxes to support both the rich and poor.

It is annoying to hear these folks complain that their time is too valuable for any job that may hire them so they depend on special allowances, use charities to get money and gifts, and do not pay any taxes yet apply for anything they can because thier income is low enough to do so.

Liberals or liabilities- what ever.

Success means the personal achievement of the INDIVIDUAL CITIZEN. Since leftists do not consider that the success of the individual adds to the success of the Whole People....They despise it as selfish. Being the whole population determines the success of the individual unit. In their world view. So, Obama's campaign to dissolve away the exceptional individuality of a citizen as a person continues..

Because success inately means that you have achieved something beyond that of your peers. That goes against their agenda. They want a country of workers, not thinkers. Just ask John D. Rockefellar.

Correct, we need to get that minimum wage back down, way down. We will win this war on the middle class and push the poor even deeper in.

Liberals (who are really socialists) don't like success because successful people do not need government, and thus exhibit a freedom that all Americans should be allowed to pursue, but are held back by a taxation system that doesn't punish those that are wealthy, but those who would like to become wealthy.
