Would you say, "I drank six beer last night."? Well, maybe if you were still drunk, but if you are sober, use "beers"

Plural of beer is still beer. It's like the plural of deer...one deer or a herd of deer. The plural form of beer is preceded by cans of...bottles of...etc., then the word beer. I learned this when doing book editing.

Beer is the correct plural but common usage has beers
in fact you can buy many forms of beer, American beer, English beer and they are all beer
BUT, and here's the difference, in UK they have light ale, dark ale, bitter, malt, Yorkshire brown, stout etc., these are all forms of beer known as beers .. in this case it is a signatory identification of the variations not pluralization

Beers. I work in a shop selling them, and when the beer man delivers them he refers to them as beers! And we all know the beer man can't be wrong.
