I think it depends on several factors. First of all, is this particular boy trustworthy? Has he demonstrated that he is honest and responsible? Can he be depended on to follow the rules without supervision? Secondly, where do you live? Do you live in a relatively safe community? Third, do you know his friends? Do you trust them to be alone with your child?

Under most circumstances, I would say yes, he can probably go out by himself, provided that he goes only where he has been given permission to go, and only with the friends that he has been given permission to go out with, and can be counted on to call before any changes of plans take place.

seriously??? why are you even asking this and why are people say possibly. Hes 15 by that age he should be aloud out with his friends by himself. Unless you live in a place where it be dangerous for him. If you dont let him out by the time you do hell completly rebel and goof the tracks

to be honest you should of been letting him out on his own from a far earlier age but since you havent you should start now but have boundries of where he can be and if he goes outside thee he should ing you and let you know where hell be. Bu seriously have resonable boundries dont be to strict. about 20 minutes away walk away from home is good

Of course its ok for a 15 year old to go out on there own. If you make him stay in your going to suffer with some serious rebelling!

That would depend on how responsible he is and what he would be upto when out there.
Possibly the 15 year old is not streetwise enough to go out there according to his parent, but not allowing this will indefinitely never allow him to be streetwise.
It is not for us to decide without knowing the child and his behaviour.
