i own my home but it is joined onto another house which is bought by other people who rent it out.Every day i wake up to loud music pumping through my walls, its caused me so much stress and ive just had an operation and i cant seem to hear myself think, i went to the realestate agency and they said they would have a word about the music to the tenants, well they did and i got threatened and now im too scared to do anything, could i see a lawyer about this, because the agency wont do anything and because of them i got threatened????
please help i am going outta my mind...

Check local ordinances and also see if the homeowners association (if it exists) have tolerances and times that allow disturbances above a particular level. I remember in Atlanta they passed an ordinance that specified if your car radio could be heard 100 feet from the car you would be cited.
Also, threats can be referred to the police and a court restraining order could make life miserable for the offender.

It has to be between certain times of day for it to legally be a disturbance.

Call your town and see what the laws about noise are.
