My daughter is caucasian with blonde hair. She had dark blue eyes at birth but they're starting to turn light blue. Her father has green eyes and me and her brother have brown. She's six weeks old. When will her eye color become permanent?

I've read the other answers and I can't agree that there's a set age, because my eyes were brown until I was in my twenties (my driver's license still says they're brown), but they are absolutely hazel today, in my fifties. Eye color may not be a permanent thing, it wasn't in my case.

They usually change between 6 months and a year. I know a few friends whose baby's eyes changed color around 14 months. Textbook is usually 6 months though. My babies were both born with blue eyes and they stayed that color. Hubby and both grandmas have blue eyes and I have brownish/green (I call em' swamp colored) eyes. Brown is dominant so I wouldn't be too surprised if your daughters eyes continue to change.

They should be their perm. color by the time she's 6 months old. My son had dark blue eyes with grey around the pupil when he was born, now he's almost 5 months old and this eyes are a lighter blue with a very light silvery grey around the pupil, I really hope they stay that way. His father and I both have darker eyes, mine are hazel and his dad's are Brown with green around the pupil.

My daughter had blue eyes up until she was like 4 months and than they changed brown. I think it varies with each child. Hope this helps.

when ever she gets to the age six year old that would be the time when she gets her permanet eye color because her body has just grown out of her baby stage
