There are tens of thousands in the air at any one time so the chances of your plane being hijacked are about the same as you winning the national lottery outright ie over 14 million to one. Have a nice trip and ask this question again when you return home and tell us what a nice time you had there.

Oh sweetheart, most people are afraid of flying, especially over the Atlantic. There is more chance of getting run over outside your house. Talk to your parents, they will reassure you. You will have a great time in New York. Please don't worry. Sleep tight.

Most likely nil, think about when all the huge terrorist attacks have occured.....on totally obscure days, because security is so tight around the holidays, you'll be ok.

You have a greater chance of getting into a car wreck on the way to the airport. Don't worry about stuff like that.

Think about how many flights there have been between those two cities over the last several years. Then think about how many flights have been hijacked.

I like those odds. Happy flying. You'll be fine.
