I think my laptops graphics card had died, how do I run a check on it (I have Vista)

Try connecting an external monitor. Press Function and F5,or F7 or the F key with dual rectangular icons. If external monitor does not show any display, then it confirms that graphics is dead.

For what reason do you think it died ?

No picture ?

Picture messed up ?

Still under warranty ? Check with manufacturer.
