Like lady bug said, just because they say the baby weighs 8 lbs 2 oz doesn't really mean anything. And, lots of babies are born weighing a lot more than that, and there's nothing wrong with that!
Just try to wait out the next couple of weeks and let your baby come when she's good and ready.

Sounds like you are following the current trend of having big babies. Although your infant is large she is not yet ready to come out and unless there is a danger to you (high blood pressure or diabetes) they will not induce you nor provide you with a C section. The baby's brain grows the most in the last weeks and so you will still see her get bigger, so be prepared. I had twins at this exact point and produced 11.5 pounds of baby so you can still keep going. I suggest you be very careful with your diet. Its possible that you took on too much weight early in your pregnancy and now when the real growth has to take place your feeling the pressure. Don't feel bad everyone goes through it. Just feel good knowing that it will be over soon and that you will meet your daughter in less than a months time.

Well i was told first would be late....he was 2 weeks early born at 38weeks exactly! Anytime from now really your baby can come, and i saw my midwife in the morning of the day he was born and she said " oh you'll go term and he will be over 8lb" i walked out of the doctors back home waters went born 6hours later! anytime your baby will come, congratulations and merry christmas

I love the name!
and
dont panic over the weight they give you on the u/s. A friend of mine was told her baby was going to be over 9lbs and ended up just being around 7 1/2lbs. and if the baby is big then you probably wont make it to your due date because if the baby is pushing down it will help with effacing you and starting your labor up.
good luck!

You know.. you can't truly rely on the weight that they give you. I have two friends that were told they were having 10lbs babies, but they were hardly 7lbs at birth! It is normal to feel a lot of pressure, even with a smaller baby.. so don't get too anxious quite yet.

Sorry but there is no way to predict these things she will come out when she is good and ready. I had my last one C-section and he weighed 10lbs 7oz and that was at 37 weeks but my case was alittle different..he was big even for me.
