The U.S. Congress declared tomatoes a vegetable ... it had something to do with more favorable taxes for the growers. Horticultural wise, it is a fruit.

This question was asked a few minutes ago. It's a fruit because it has seeds and ovaries. Botanically speaking, there is no such thing as a vegetable, which is strictly a culinary term.

It's a vegetable. Those who say it's a fruit are only trying to confuse the masses- hopefully in their own minds, leading to revolution and a total breakdown in society- or in other words: total chaos...think about it.
