I bought a laptop screen off ebay. The guy claims it worked when it left his place. But the first one I got was cracked easy to tell. Mine is cracked though and it still works. Cant see very good though that is why I bought a diffrent one. I didnt want to spend 250 for new one so I matched up the resoultion and the size. He claims he does it all the and they work fine. I have asked firedog, geeksquad, computer friend nobody really seems to know this answer. I have read that they are not interchangable. They manf. do this on purpose so you will have to buy there product. I also know some are interchangable. Any help would be great. Thanks Drew

laptop screens are NOT interchangable. it has to be the same model number from the same company.

matching up the resolution and size does not guarantee it will work. You need the same part number manufactures change simple little things in each model just to play with you. some change the connectors or tweak the board to different specs.
