debbie gibson was a great female singer when she 1st came up in the mid to late 1980's . infact she does hold the record for being the youngest vocalist to sing , write , record and produce a number one single with the song " foolish beat ". that's something even metallica can't claim . but she faded away as fast as she became popular while metallica was still selling out stadium after studium and making number one albums . for the record though debbie gibson dose have two number one hits "lost in your eyes " the other and metallica has zero . where metalica hurts debbie the most is record sales where they have sold over 80 million world wide , twice as as much as debbie gibson has . so metallica is better only because they stayed at the top where debbie gibson just faded away and has really never been the same like her earlier years !!!

That's like comparing oranges and apples. Debbie Gibson was a bubble gummer for the age group of 8 to 14. Metallica is considered one of the premiere heavy metal bands. They shouldn't even be mentioned together in the same sentence.

Metallica has made considerably more money, more billboard charting songs/albums. Debbie Gibson really hasn't done much besides posing for playboy.
