Don't just base it on Scoring average, number of rebounds,
consider the areas that affect the game, and matter in
the big picture....

Leadership - raising your game, clutch shots, mental strength

Tempo - you can dictate the tempo, can't be stopped

Defense - When you need to you can stop the other player.

Mario Ellie used to be a guy I thought was a complete player
I'd put him in the top 50 before Patrick Ewing which is a
choaker in playoffs.

So here is my rough draft of players I think are complete or
incomplete.

INCOMPLETE:
T Mac,
Vince Carter,
Kobe Bryant,
Gilbert Arenas,
Yao,
Sean Marion,
Dirk Nowitzki,
Dwight Howard,
Iverson,
Carmelo Anthony,
Kevin Garnett

COMPLETE:
Tim Duncan,
Tony Parker,
Manu Ginoblli,
D Wade,
LeBron,
Amare,
Nash,
Baron Davis,
Ron Artest,
Derek Fisher,
Andre Klienko,
Robert Horry,

Whats your list? Best list gets best answer.

Only complete player to ever play in the NBA: Michael Jordan

Closest to being complete right now (using your criteria): LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Kevin Garnett

Considering what they bring on the statsheet and the intangibles, I'd have to say its Tim Duncan. He's proven it all the years, with the championships. Spurs are always better in a halfcourt setting and he makes this possible. Talking about leadership, this guy is not afraid to take over games when necessary (see Detroit, Game 5 and 7, and Dallas matchup). And this guy should have been, with Bowen at least given one DPOY award, considering they are always consistently one of the best defensive teams every year.

Other that Mr. Timmy, I dont see any other complete player except Kevin Garnett, although KG still doesn't have a ring. I have Baron Davis, Lebron James, Dwyane Wade and Steve Nash as people who make a great impact on the court, changing the tempo, but they dont play defense.

Oh, about your list, I dont see Horry, Kirilenko, Amare as good leaders. They feed on the star of the team.

This is an interesting question. Difficult to answer. My list (controvertial, ain't it?)

Complete Players:
Josh Smith
Kevin Garnett
Gerald Wallace
LeBron James
Chauncey Billups
Tayshawn Prince
Rasheed Wallace
Baron Davis
Stephen Jackson
Tracy McGrady
Shane Battier
Jermaine O'Neal
Kobe Bryant
Lamar Odom
Dwayne Wade
Jason Kidd
Chris Paul
Andre Miller
Andre Iguodala
Raja Bell
Shawn Marion
Brandon Roy
Ron Artest
Manu Ginobili
Tim Duncan
Deron Williams
Andrei Kirilenko
Carlos Boozer
Gilbert Arenas

Sorry, I didn't heed the question... Most complete player today...?
I'll say Dwayne Wade. Bryant's up there as is James. Billups is underrated for a player with a solid all-around game.

Incomplete:

T Mac- only scores
Vince Carter-only scores
Carmelo anthony-can score lights out but struggles to rebound and isn't a team player
Kevin Garnett-is a stud but can't deliver in the clutch, as we saw in the 2004 playoffs
Ron Artest- he has the defence and leader ship part but can't take over a game
Shawn Marion- steve nash is marion
Gilbert Arenas- same case as Melo, Arenas can score lights out but he isnt a good rebounder or assist man
LeBron- Ya'll are going to be on me about this but yea Lebron is incomplete because he can NOT take over a game i don't care what yall say he is a choaker(and he can't shoot for his life from 15 feet out)!

Complete:

Kobe Bryant- best in the game
Tim Duncan- we've seen him do it time and time again
D-Wade- we saw em do his stuff in the 06 finals...he is just unbelievable
Baron Davis- boy didn't we see him blossom in the 2007 playoffs
Manu Ginobili- he is relentless and so underrated
Steve Nash- just so good in what he does makes everyone around him better and if you need a final shot he's the man on the Suns
