Don't be concerned with whether or not science believes in Christ....as long as you do, that's what counts.

I have absolutely no idea what your point is.
Scientists aren't stupid. It would indeed be stupid to use a system that is not used by all other academics (historians, literature professors, art historians, etc.) as well as most of the general public. What would be the point?
The AD/BC standard works, and everybody understands it. It is a system established by the Catholic Church in 1582 (under Pope Gregory XIII ... and known as the Gregorian Calendar). It works because the council that invented it set a specific zero-point ... a historical event (even if the exact day of that historical event could not be determined exactly).
There is a convention among academics (both historians, and scientists) to refer to this system as CE/BCE ('Common Era' and 'Before Common Era'). Why should should scholars from other faiths (Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, and even agnostics and atheists) all have to choose between using a system based on a central event of the Christian faith, or using a separate calendar system altogether. The CE/BCE system lets all scholars in the world work from the same system, regardless of their religious beliefs.
It is always so perplexing ... and so arrogant ... that we Christians should think and act like there is no other religion in the world. There are 6 billion humans on the planet. Only 2 billion of us are Christians. You do the math.

It used to be AD ("Anno Domini" - the year of our Lord) and BC (Before Christ) but now it has been changed to the more politically correct c.e. (current era) and b.c.e. (before current era). Scientists, however, were not the ones that pushed for that but, instead, the ridiculous organizations that feel impartiality is the only way to keep America civil. It's politics, not science, that make these changes.

Actually, scientists don't use those labels. As others have noted, we use either CE or BCE, or sometimes just + or -. What do you think about that?
and well said secret santa!!

Never mind... Lets just call it as:
a relief from saying 65 billion, god knows how many million, 2007 years after the start of the universe...
Its easier saying 2007AD dont you think?

Well, even though I am christian,
Politically correct historians refer to AD as CE, which means common era
And BC as BCE, before common era.
Science was originally made to explain God's creation, not to kick God out of it.

It's a common reference point.
Look up info on the dead sea scrolls and see how they do it.
BCE means before common era, and I forget the other one.....CE common era
Andrew R up above me has it right
