Ferris Beach by Jill McCorkle. About a girl's first kiss, first love, friendships, dissapointments - very emotional, very realistic. You will love it.

Laurene McDaniel books for sure. They're soo sad. Especially "A Rose for Melinda". I bawled my eyes out at the end of that one.
The Twilight series is also really good. It's not really depressing, but they're very romantic.

Twilight Series!!! They are amazing and long enough to engage the reader completely. Also, Just Listen by Sarah Dessen and Morning Gift by Eva Ibbotson. They're also good reads.

Hey bballgurl,

I'm 16 and I absolutely loved "Wuthering Heights" by Emily Bronte. It was the saddest, most romantic, and most depressing book I have ever read...ever. It is so emotional and touching, and I am positive you will like it.

Merry Christmas!

'The Bell Jar' by Sylvia Plath. Essential reading about girl with psychiatric problem. Best of all Sylvia Plath topped herself in the end (rather sadly) so she knew what she was writing about.
