Watch Out.... Miami is on a roll!!!!!

It is extremely difficult to go undefeated in a season, there is only one team to do it so far (Miami). It is something that is very hard to do in this era of football because the league tries to keep teams as even as possible (they call it parity) with rules such as the salary cap. While the Patriots seem to do well year after year by drafting well and picking up good players on the free agent market, it will be difficult to go undefeated this year, never mind following years.

The whole question is quite outrageous, whether or not the Patriots go undefeated this year and may even become better in the off season to believe or think that this could be repeated is preposterous, no one will argue about the sheer talent of this team but lets also remember for the most part this team hasn't had a lot of injuries, they have also gotten a lucky break or two throughout the season. The Ravens game specifically comes to mind where they were stopped on fourth down 3 separate times only to have a penalty, a time out and another penalty called to prevent them from turning the ball over on downs.

Is this current team one of the best ever? Perhaps. But to think that this same team could duplicate this season again is crazy, in the history of the NFL there has only been 1 undefeated team (72 Dolphins 14-0) and we are on the verge of another one, but I wouldn't expect this to repeat itself anytime soon whether or not it happens this year.

they gained't, it in basic terms has occurred two times in 35 years. the possibility of it happening 2 years in a row by a similar team is relatively slender. as much as i admire the Pats i don't think of they'll pass undefeated next 3 hundred and sixty 5 days

Well the law of averages isn't really on their side...only one team has gone undefeated in a season and now you want one to do it back-to-back? Lets just work on this year.

They can get worse in the off season too. You can't assume they will get better every year. Also, the other teams in their division might get better. They can't get any worse.

They've won a lot of Super Bowls in the past decade!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's hard to go undefeated forever, and they might trade one of their players, but probably not.

i wan thinking in that just now. it would be really hard. their lbacker are really old and time will certainlky not help them. imagine an older moss he wont be as fast. all the players will be more likely to get injured and probablility will eventually work against you. the pats wont go through another type of baltimore game. im a pats fan and it will be hard that they have so much help from the refs.

Maybe, but they way they've gotten here is one game at a time. that is always the way a Belichick team plays. Why don't we just enjoy this one game at a time?

I don't think so. I dont worry about the age of the players, or decreasing skill level. I just think that a game or two can just slip by and you dont have your greatest game. It can happen to anyone, no matter how good you are.
