I mean, what level of piano skills do you need to play it?

I love this song, and I have played it. I never considered myself beyond intermediate (maybe intermediate towards advanced). It's not an overly difficult song, but it takes some practice especially with the rhythm.

That Youtube video is interesting as the pianist is out of synchronization with the recording.
The skill level to play most Mendelssohn is at a minimum level four. Students in high school cannot adequately comprehend his music and few can interpret it correctly, if not properly.
A competent collegiate pianist can comprehend Mendelssohn, but most will not, because his music requires extreme interpretive skill to begin sounding well.
Perhaps if you were to supply a video of YOU playing something, one might possibly recommend a good composition for your skills.

u have to be pretty experienced i say (im also a pianist and im going on my 5th yea and it's gonna take me a while to get that 1 down to where im satisfied)
