I had the Novasure surgery (burning off of uterine lining) 9 days ago. My doctor gave me a total release yesterday. I had sex about 2 hours ago and I'm in excruciating pain now. What can I do to make it stop hurting. I have a busy night of cooking and stuff so I don't want to drug myself up. Any suggestions and why does it hurt if the doc said I was off all restrictions?

Doctor forgot to mention that when you orgasm, your uterus and vagina contract and almost flutter for a little while. Your uterus is sore from the surgery. All that moving around intensified that pain. Take a pain pill, lie down, and tell hubby it's HIS turn to cook tonight! Good luck, honey. If the pain gets too bad, call the doctor to make sure you haven't injured something.

Maybe you should have gone easy with the sex. If the member was extremely large, it might be a factor. Did it hurt while or just after? It might be the physical size or the semen that caused it. Your doctor should have told you to refrain from sex if it was an issue. I hope you feel better. Good luck.

Have you tried taking a Motrin or Ibuprophen ....? They are pretty mild and will not make you feel "drugged up" .... and since they work great for menstrual cramps, they may work well for this, too.

because you just had surgery. their is no possible way to have complete healing already. even if the doc said it was ok i would not have had sex soo soon.

i would take 1/2 a pain pill...it just enough but not too much. okay now TAKE IT EASY i know how much fun it can get but tell him to take a cold shower next time! alrighty take care, hope your better soon.
