It annoyed me to no end until one of my contacts let me know that if you go into tools you can disable the add on for shockwave, once you disable it, it shuts up!! I was able to turn the sound back on for the computer!! Try it!!

Yes. Yours is not the first posting about it. I've complained on the Forum; but don't think that it'll do any good. But I guess we can keep trying.
Like one of your above responders suggested, I mute my sound volume, and that resolves the issue; that is, until I do want to listen to something, and forgot that I've clicked the mute box. Guess it will just take some getting use to.

I hate it! I just keep the volume on my computer turned off until I need it, so I wont have o hear it anymore.
