Yes, I feel the joy of the season. I remember the true meaning of Christmas, the birth of a child who changed the world so long ago.
I am grateful for all that I have, all the firends that I have met
family, my pets.
I still am like a child with all the beautiful lights, the tree, and the joy of this season.
Merry Christmas and a blessed 2008

Not really. I am going through the motions and doing my best. I lost a dear friend this past week, and also an ex mother-in-law on the same day. My partner has been working away for some weeks, and another friend had a bad diagnosis this week as well. Partner back on Christmas day though, I am working in the morning and am looking forward to seeing him and having a nice dinner.

I'm used to sunshine on Christmas & I'm now in a place that is too COLD for me to be happy. If I had an oven, I could bake cookies & be happy again (hopefully). This one room livng is getting to me & so are some of the people on this site!
I will just be so glad when it's over & the drunks are off the streets & out of money again!

I think so. My Christmas is being spent with my daughter,
her hubby and my lovely granddaughter. Just the presence of friends and family is a gift enough. We are having a
large family Christmas, going out to dinner, opening gifts and having fun, but never forgetting the baby who was born in Bethlehem so long ago.
Hope everyone on Seniors has a wonderful and joyous
Christmas.

Not really. My son died last January. My daughter and grandkids and her husband are moving another 800 miles away in February. However my husband and I are in good health, we have siblings and nieces and nephews. Eventually everything will feel better. I also have to work on Christmas, Some of the carols and decorations bring a smile.

I feel joy and happiness all the time. I avoid everything about the Christmas feeding frenzy of shopperism.

Hi, Trying to decide what to get someone can cause anxiety. Especially when it seems they have everything they need and want. I feel like getting them nothing and just wish them happy holidays and merry Christmas.

Well for one thing I am alone except for my parents that live about 40' or so from my trailer. They don't like holidays at all, they think that they are for the little ones not the adults too. Plus the fact that I don't have the money to do anything with. To me, holidays are not fun when you don't have a mate/special friend to enjoy them with.
