Alot of people on Yahoo! Answers like to say that if Brady was switched to another team he wouldn't be doing well because of the recievers that he's used to on the Patriots. Out of all the things people say negative about the Patriots this is the one that probably drives me the most insane. Throughout his career Brady has made a name for himself for doing more with less. All of his superbowl wins he had average to good recievers... nothing spectacular. Last year he led his team all the way to the AFC Championship game on a 12-4 regular season record and could of won the game where they probably would of won the superbowl last year with what most would call sub-par recievers.... Reche Caldwell, Doug Gabriel, Jabar Gaffney, etc. It was a reciever merry go round and he still brought them to where they had to be. People act like Brady has had this recieving corps for years. Haha.. I don't just drives me insane, I know one day EVERYONE will give him the credit he deserves.

In the meantime I guess I will just have to sit and wait... and maybe enjoy a few more superbowl victories while I'm at it. GO PATS!

Yeah... but the thing is Brady had to play an entirely different kind of game last year. Those stats are unbelievable with the recievers he had last year. And everyone LOVES to say that its because of his defense, but what people refuse to realize is that his defense is good because HE'S good. He's a master of slowing down the offense to give the defense plenty of time to rest and be effective. In the year of the Patriots first superbowl they had the 26th ranked defense before Brady took over. At the end of the season... the 11th ranked defense. Brady is THE reason his team is good. And not every QB is capable of carrying such a high powered offense. The rest of those recievers are good because of Brady and Moss... and if Brady didn't put those balls right on Moss, Moss wouldn't be getting em'. Moss is elusive and Brady is pin point accurate. Scary combination... but it all boils down to Brady, he MADE this team.

To Eric M: I'm not even sure how I should respond to you. Your supposedly a New England fan, yet you don't know that Deion Branch was drafted in 2002 out of Louisville? Did YOU just become a fan of football this year? Way to make yourself look like jackass. For somebody that wants to be a sports writer you should really get your facts straight. And you wanna go to the University of UConn? I know of UConn and the University of Connecticut... it's because I went there that's why. I'm not sure that they let people that call their school the University of UConn in. GO HUSKIES! GO PATS! And you... haha, get a clue, man. And I'm the moron? HAHA!

Does anyone read the full question? I never said he wasn't benefitting from it... I said that it's rediculous to say he wouldn't be doing well without them considering what he's done with so much less in years past. Brady and this recieving corps just compliment eachother very well.

And my favorite guy... Stonewall Jackson: Did you used to not watch the Patriots, when Brady first came in he had to scramble around the pocket because the OLine couldn't protect him. Ben Watson has only been in the league a few years... he's yet to establish himself as a great TE. David Patten... like many other recievers, Brady made him look decent. Troy Brown... well Troy Brown's just awesome... but Bledsoe just never got the job fully done with him, Brady made him look like a pro bowler. Deion Branch... a second round pick... Brady made him look great... you don't hear much from him in Seattle. David Givens... 7th round pick... Brady made him look great... you dont hear ANYTHING from him in Tennessee. And Kevin Faulk... great utility back... love Kevin Faulk. Brady made those guys what they were... and now most of them are playing on other teams not doing much because they don't have Brady.

My deal isn't that he wouldn't be doing that great if he switched teams. He a great QB, like having a coach on the field, him and Manning are the two smartest QB's in the game. The fact of the matter is, he has always had great talent on his team. First couple SB's Defense, and the forgotten tuck rule, Last year the running game, Maroney and Dillon, weren't too bad. Back to the topic though, he is a great QB, but to tell me this year that WR core doesn't make him A LOT better is a crock. Look at the Stats.

2006 Tom Brady
61.8% Comp
3529 yds. passing
24 TDs
12 Ints
87.9 QB rating

2007 Tom Brady (YTD)
69.2% Comp
4235 yds. passing
45 TDs
6 Ints
119.7 QB rating

Take it for what it's worth. You have your opinion and I have mine.

I love the Patriots and LOVE TOm Brady, but being a football fan to say he is not benefitting from his WR's is silly.
Is that to say Tom Brady and the Patriots wouldn't be the #1 seed in the AFC? No, but clearly having a motivated Randy Moss, a slot reciever like Wes Welker and a burner like Donte Stallworth to throw to makes the quarterback a better player.

Clearly Brady has shown he doesn't need the most talented WR's to be a great QB and lead his team to Super Bowls but the numbers speak for themselves in his career previous to this year Brady had a career high of 28 touchdowns. This year with 2 games left he is at a unGodly 45 td's with only 6 interceptions. Having a great reciever like Moss who either is open or double teamed allows a player like Wes Welker to catch 93 balls so far this season it opens up the field for Brady.
Obviously if Alex Smith was on this team the Patriots wouldn't be the team they are but having these WR's with this QB is a perfect storm of sorts and is beneficial for both.

Brady won the 2001, 2003 and 2004 Super Bowl with DEION BRANCH as the second best offensive player, you moron. Did you just become a fan of pro football this year?

I'm not a big Patriots fan, but I've gotta give that organization their props. Brady has been awesome. I think you are right about Brady and WRs. Plug in any WR and he'll get the ball to them. To think he wasn't a top 10 pick in his draft class.
