Kitchenaid food processor drive shaft?

How do I remove the plastic sleeve from the drive shaft of a kitchenaid food processor? We've used hammer, screwdriver and vice grip....Is there an easier way?

need more info, what plastic sleeve? where is it located, whats it hooked to ?
have one dont know what it is ? or where.
